Precision-cut tissue slices mimic the multicellular characteristics of organs in vivo. The Krumdieck Tissue Slicer provides samples of uniform and reproducible thickness, minimizes damage to surfaces of slices and thereby eliminates the main sources of error in tissue slice work.

The slicer operates submerged in a buffer which provides a lubricated environment that facilitates smooth and precise cutting of tissue sections. A motor-driven and rapidly reciprocating disposable blade oscillating at 1000 to 2500 rpm, cuts precision slices from approximately 100 to 500 microns in thickness.
